It’s that time again

Stir the toiled soil and sow new seeds

Aerate the earth and pull the weeds

Repurpose the rocks which have a role of their own;

To allow nutrients to absorb like calcium to bone

Percolating at a variable rate

One of which we do not create

For patience is necessary ingredient

No high value set on what is expedient

With delicate care and delightful detail

One sprout, two sprouts and more prevail

Blazing radiance, nuclear fusion

Warmth and illumination in great profusion

Celestial center of our Milky Way

Rotating night into day

No chance to accelerate

Oh no, the miracle is in the wait

About the Creator

Scarlett Mellin

I’m a Leo who loves loquaciously lounging, lovely literary jewels, local lexicons, lifelong learning, laughter, labors of love, lascivious lovers, llamas lizards lions, lazy lightning and a lil bit of alliteration.
