Places and Faces by Solomon

Beneath the cloak of a universe clad in iron shadows and phantasmal lights,

Where the fabric of dreams is seamlessly stitched with the threads of waking sight,

There exist visages, shrouded in enigma, familiar yet cloaked in anonymity,

Footprints that dance along the edges of eternity, sketches of time's infinity.

Where the heart of the metropolis pulsates with the rhythms of invisible feet,

And each soul is adrift in their saga, a captive of fate's relentless beat,

These enigmas surface, veiled fully formed, lanterns of wonder in the urban night,

Their glow an enigma, casting rays of riddles, piercing the commonplace with insight.

Their essence, woven from the gossamer of unreality, transcends the mundane divine,

With knowledge as ancient as starlight, cradled within the depth of the mortal line,

Their grins, a silent sonnet of realms apart, a nod to skies where spirits soar,

Portals that hang suspended, challenging gravity's claim, beckoning secret lore.

Their origins? A canvas unpainted, nestled in the folds of the cosmopolis heart,

A silent waltz into existence, within the marketplace they play their part,

Burning like a beacon, a mirage of fire, ensnaring the wandering eye,

Compelling the glance of the passerby, a riddle under the open sky.

In their gaze, one might glimpse the horizon of tomorrows yet unveiled,

Or the echo of ancient sorrows, within their silent contours, tales are cradled,

Amidst the throng, they stand - a riddle - one of sorrow, one of charm,

Heralds that the world we touch is but a dream, a temporary balm.

Whispers ripple outwards, the crowd buzzes with lore and theories vast,

Theorizing on the genesis and intent, but these enigmas remain typecast,

Immutable and resolute, they bear witness to life's frenetic pace,

Statuesque amidst the pandemonium, observers perched amid the race.

Time, in its relentless march, converts days to dust, the enigma endures,

A steadfast silhouette against fear's tide, its constancy assures,

While the globe spins its yarns, the icons ascend into the myth,

Emblems of the ineffable, their silent melody persists, forthwith.

To those who wander, souls adrift amidst the cacophony and neon hum,

Seeking the road less travelled, where whispered wonders beckon some,

Let the mystic places and faces pull you to terrains untouched, unseen -

To drink from the well of awe where life's mysteries convene.

In these arcane encounters, a fragment of the celestial may be seen,

Where roses and valleys whisper of the menagerie to which we're keen,

So long as the spark of wonder is kindled, aglow within the heart's confines,

Within these cryptic places and faces, infinity itself aligns.
