Pirouettes And Folly
Frozen Verse
As drizzled flakes begin to float
And autumn sails it’s colored boats
Down puddled paths on city streets
Riding the breeze from slumbering trees
Bare and exposed to winters chill
Dressed in the first of winter frills
Beautiful crystal chandeliers
Begin to form as heavens tears
Cascade to earth, a cleansing breath
A sinking soul, unlike Macbeth
As tiny,tender tinsels beam
Encase the flowers, limbs and leaves
Sparkling frosted, frozen sleet
Tapping the ground, like marching feet
Declaring war, welcoming change
A swift, purposeful, turn of page
Twirling in circles, above the land
A perfectly, peaceful pirouette
The seasons simply, sensational dance
Frozen in time, held in a trance
Glistening under moonlit folly
Creating the finest sights in foliage

Another gem! I especially liked the start, it sets the scene beautifully: As drizzled flakes begin to float And autumn sails it’s colored boats Down puddled paths on city streets
The colored boats of autumn was a beautiful image, great story!
Very nice.
Gee, Kelli this was spectacular, loved the Macbeth line, but really the whole thing got me! when you and Dana use rhyme, it makes me reconsider my stance! beautiful!
