Pilgrim oh pilgrim

What is it you seek

One foot after the other

To the land of the meek

Is what you want

To glimpse neath the veil

Of that which we worship

But in peace we fail

Pilgrim oh pilgrim

What is it you seek

To be free from the grind

Week after week

Is what you want

To rise above

That with false promise

Of fulfilment and love

Pilgrim oh pilgrim

What will you find

When you peel off the layers

And leave all behind

When one day you arrive

At the holy shrine

What began your quest

It was there all the time

inspirational

About the Creator

Natalie Parletta

I love how novels, stories, poetry open portals into other worlds, other journeys and experiences, how they can transcend, move, inspire, touch eternal truths; I strive to discover and share that in my writing. Thanks for reading :)
