The trees they stand so tall and high
As they reach towards the sky
Their roots they spread far in the ground
As people, cars go round and round
How many lives have they seen
How many peoples dreams
That unfold, drift, twist and turn
While stillness is what we really yearn
We walk and run, beep and drive
Like busy bees around a hive
Stop and listen, tune out the din
Hush now, be still, hear the peace within
The trees they stand so tall and high
As they reach toward the sky
Patient giants so calm and true
Earth’s reminder of that we once knew
About the Creator

I love how novels, stories, poetry open portals into other worlds, other journeys and experiences, how they can transcend, move, inspire, touch eternal truths; I strive to discover and share that in my writing. Thanks for reading :)
