Picture Christmas.

Shrouded vision, blurring white,

Gathered around, fun delight,

Bells then ringing, carols sung,

Voices rejoicing, hearts rung,

Hearthfire warm, scent of beef,

Weary travelers, sought relief,

Turn to stir, kitchen storm,

Songs on the stereo, artists perform,

Wife then frantic, anxious look,

"Honey, can you come help me cook?

Eyes rolling, ungrateful host,

Coming in to man the post,

Banging wood, door open wide,

Cheerful greetings, "Come inside!"

From every land, and every nation,

Throughout the month, of joyful sensation,

Let it be said, let every heart know,

With open voice, and images to show,

Open ears, voice to say,

"Have a Merry Christmas day!"
