PIANO

3/19/2024

i am a rainy day,

walking in sunlight..

morose, contemplative,

wet and cold..

bitter but bold.

Shoulders just a little hunched from weights untold.

i love the rain,

much as i love sunny days..

PIANO keys accompany

my every step..

a beautiful sonata tapping rhythmically on drenched sidewalks..

beautiful droplets..

washing all the dust, all

the fears,jeers,

whatever tears..

that have fallen..they wash

the stink and stain from the world away,

cleansing conscience.

Lovely, Big, Fat drops of water!

a treasure in the desert..a sip in a hurricane..

a respite in smoldering heat..

raindrops are words on paper cleansing my soul..

washing over you to salve the burn..

my gift to you.

PEACE
