In the palm of our hands, a world of distraction
A never-ending scroll, an endless attraction
We're slaves to the screens, we can't look away
Our time and attention, they steal every day
We used to talk to each other, face to face
But now we're too busy, in our digital space
We're missing out on life, while we're plugged in
We've lost the art of conversation, it's a sin
We're addicted to the likes, the shares, the views
We've forgotten what it's like, to just be in the news
We're always on the phone, we're never alone
But it's not real connection, it's just a loan
We're sacrificing our time, for instant gratification
We're missing out on beauty, in this digital nation
We need to take a step back, and see the cost
Of constant connectivity, at what it's lost
We need to unplug, and reconnect
With the world around us, and with ourselves
It's time to put the phone down, and live our lives
Before it's too late, and all we have is goodbyes.
