Seeing the Glass as Half Full

By Shams Ul QammarPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

A glass, half empty or half full,

It's a matter of perception, it's a pull,

Is it a symbol of loss or a sign of gain?

A choice we make, to feel joy or pain.

For some, the glass is always half empty,

A constant struggle to find contentment aplenty,

But others see it as an opportunity,

A chance to fill it up with possibility.

The half glass of water, a metaphor for life,

Where we choose to focus, in joy or strife,

Do we dwell on what we lack or celebrate what we have?

It's a choice we make, to be happy or sad.

So let us choose to see the glass half full,

Embrace the challenges, take them in stride, don't be dull,

For in every obstacle, there's a lesson to learn,

And in every failure, an opportunity to return.

Let us fill our glasses with hope and grace,

Let positivity and gratitude take its rightful place,

For in the end, it's not about how much we possess,

But how we choose to see the world, and find happiness.
