The colors of her

Soft, and feminine, delicate, patient, kind and forgiving

These were the ways she desired for herself

To be the physical embodiment of the color that pleased her eye the most

But these were not always her ways

Sometimes she became loud, bold and almost violent

Like red, or orange, she shook with rage against the iniquitousness of the world

Empathetically pained, she spewed her hot liquid fury

Venomous explosions at the willfully ignorant and cruel

What is the reason for their blindness to the pain and suffering of others?

How can they not be bothered to care?

She lets it out, lets it spread like a wildfire that scorches the land at her feet

Cleanse this place of its hatred and ignorance

Then, in healing, the graceful flowers may return, periwinkle
