People Don't Care.

People don’t care, not the way you dream,

Their hearts are like rivers, pulling you back downstream.

You wait for a sign, a whisper, a glance,

But people were lost in their silent dance.

You reach out for help, but the hands slip away,

You left with your thoughts, alone in the fray.

At the time of your brace, no one is on your way,

They leave you alone, away.

People built up their walls, and it’s hard to see,

They belittle your achievements,

And sabotage your efforts,

That's what’s broken inside, a mirror to me.

You chase after love, and they feel like ghosts,

But in the end, it’s just the void you loved most.

People don’t care, and maybe won’t,

worth is not measured by how much you have shown.

So rise from the ashes, stand tall in your truth,

You have always had more than you think to renew.
