I look into your eyes, and I see light.

I look into your eyes, I see into your soul.

I look into your eyes, and I feel the love in your heart

When I look into your eyes I see the pity you have for me.

When you look into my eyes- it’s just empty- dark holes in my skull.

When you look into my eyes you search deep in my soul to be able to try and find the love in my heart

It’s gone. There’s nothing left.

Why woud there be?

Why are you now wanting to try when I’m already gone.

You’re now trying but it’s too late.

Why are you now wanting to try? I’ve tried and tried but no.

It’s too late.

heartbreak

I've experienced this before. They always come back when we've given up and moved on. Loved your poem!
