Peaks and Valleys
This Too Shall Pass

Our little angel’s fallen ill
Her cancer’s back again
We’re faithing God, You’ll heal her still
In truth, we wonder when
We Trust In You, you’re always there
You always pull us thorough
We’re offering our child in prayer
Please do that thing You do
We’re passing thru another storm
But this storm too shall pass
We pray we’ll see more blessing’s form
To heal our daughter, Cass
We’re trusting in Your perfect will
You always pick us up
To help us with a bitter pill
You overfill our cup
With fervent love comes measured pain
It touches every life
But sacrifice means, more to gain
It’s just beyond the strife
There’s many things we must discern
Before our faith can flow
So many things we’ve yet to learn
But this is what we know
Before one scales a lofty peak
There’s pitfalls unforeseen
Those mountain peaks we often seek
Have valleys in between
Each peak may represent new highs
The valley’s, every low
But every time God’s helped us rise
The more our faith would grow
