The days have run like normal

Are they really normal?

Not for the peoples of Ukraine

Not for the peoples of Russia

What painful relentless bloodshed!

There were times when hate speech

Toned that what can Africa give the world but war

Ground me, and others, nags to the marrow

This is not faultseek

Certainly no name calling

Then we saw something dubbed a special operation,

A grim decree from Russia's mighty might!

I trace it back to twenty-fourteen,

When Russia land seized Crimea of Ukraine

And on this six hundred and third day

Avdiivka is object to fierce battle

In the East, North, and South,

As Russia swears a tightening vise vice grip,

The special operation was not short and special.

Was it?

The special operation has wrought fear in Europe

And among nations afar world over

As weapons whisper in the silent night.

With talk of rogue nations' weapons gifts to Russia

Dangerous dance of a bigger war, fear in.

The potency of UN has been proven impotent

The Potency of ICC has been proven impotent

For indicted, Putin still stands,

For where is the force to bind his hands?

Moreover, some nations in Americas, Africa, and the Arabias,

Echo with tacit support to special operationists,

While other nations pretend neutrality, in day

Yet genuflect to pick war gear from Putin, in hidden diplomacy

The stage is set for another cold or warm war.

Ukraine and Russia, are one,

In language and history, are one.

At nation birth and maturity, are one.

We reject the path to a third world war.

We reject this continued death, both ways.

Let us sound a chorus of nations.

That calls for calm.

That pleads for peace.

End this war.
