fresh tears in my eyes

Faithful companions, loyal friends
My protectors, my confidants

A girl’s best friend is not diamonds
But her doggos and kitties
Sweet and precious fur babies
From above, sent to watch over
To love them, a blessing … and curse
A thing so pure cannot last here
Not on this broken and sinful world
Goodbye is not the hard part of losing them
That comes later, when we feel you
False moments by our feet, ghost-fur
Until we meet again, keep the next place warm
