Pattern in Myself

In the spirit of Dr. Seuss

I discovered a pattern in myself,

and I do not like it at all.

I do not like it on cold days.

I do not like it on warm days.

I do not like it on top of stingrays.

I do not like it any-which-a-ways.

I do not like this pattern one bit.

I do not like it where I sit.

I do not like it in a dark, dark pit.

I do not like it roasted on a spit.

I do not like it with a whale.

I do not like it with a whale who has a very long tail.

I do not like it, even if it’s a whale who can balance on a red rail, with his very long tail.

I do not like this pattern in myself.

I do not like it with an elf.

I do not like it on the shelf.

I do not like this pattern’s sneaky stealth!

What if it’s a whale who can balance on a red rail with his very long tail, sitting next to a snail perched on a pail?
