Path Of Choice

If you could be anything you wanted to be

..What would you be?

If there were no rules or pressure in society to have a life that you hate

..What would you change it to?

Would you make yourself a billionaire?

Would you wish for a happy life?

For your dream job?

For love?

What if I told you that you could have that?

Now I'll admit those seem far-fetched

Like you can't have it all

But it is possible

It is possible to wish upon a star

But not like a fairytale or fantasy

But like the wish in your heart like

Your courage and faith in yourself

In this world

You'll meet people who will try to tear you down

The family member who says you should think logically and get a stable job

The friend that pressures you to pick a profession that'll make you rich

The friend that says that it's not worth it and give up

Or a society that makes you focus only on money

It could even be what people don't say

The looks people give you when you say what you want to do in life

The shocks on their faces

Like you choose to defy the way of life

Or what they think life is about

So they think or even say to your face that

You could never be that

You are not smart enough

You are not good enough

But it's all mind control

If you listen to the negativity

Then 40 years down the road you'll regret everything

Not taking chances

Not being bold enough

Not proving them wrong

But you can still change

It is never too late to change

You gotta be the one to believe in yourself

Before you can take the advice of others

You must first listen to yourself

It's your life

It's your path

Not somebody else's

Just think positive

Listen to yourself

Believe in yourself

Instead of thinking of reasons why you can't
