Passing Through

Lord, the world is shaking,
trying to get an audience.
Riots, hurricane, tsunamis,
unrest, uncertainties, unbelief.
Conspiracies, lies, ignorance.
AI running rampant and rogue.
You said the end times would be as this.
I pray for more to join the ark that is about to float away.
No one should want to stay.
This is not our home.
We’re just passing through.
If the truth can be spread,
to more people, even to just a few.

Matthew 24:23-31 says,
“Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. 24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand. 26 “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 28 For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together.

29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”

If You Love Me, You'll Do It
I met Jason when I was five years old. I could say that I loved him from the moment I saw him. He was so handsome to me and I felt in awe by his presence. When they introduced him as the new kid in school, I wanted to be his friend right away. I remember it like it was yesterday. I remember his smile and how he didn't seem shy. He appeared confident and ready to learn. I waved at him and said "hello," before anyone else could even say a word. He sat next to me, and I asked him if he wanted to be friends. He looked so happy as he said, "Yes!"

You captured the tension of the times with honesty, but also the steady reassurance of God’s promises. Powerful piece.
Our day is surely coming...says the Lord 😇 “For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more; Indeed, you will look carefully for his place, But it shall be no more. But the meek shall inherit the earth, And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Wait on the Lord, And keep His way, And He shall exalt you to inherit the land; When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.” Psalms 37:10-11, 34 NKJV Amen.
The phrase “transitory life” comes to mind. Reflecting the fleeting nature of earthly existence compared to the permanence of the life to come.
