Her Miracle Question
~[]~[]~[]~

What could she possibly mean?
I don't understand what she truly desires.
What is her miracle question?
In a perfect world, that she'd find herself describing...
What would it all be like?
Would I be a character in her perfect world?
Or, would I be a green garnish shoved to the side or wrapped quickly in a napkin?
I'm not sure that I'll ever know one way or the other.
Do I have the capacity to swallow the truth of never knowing?
At least Time will sell me some apples at the street corner.
While I take my first bite of the fruit, I'll long to see her on the swing that dangles from The Tree of Life.

I really like the easy, natural pace of this poem. It was so easy and natural, I was a little surprised to get to the end and went back and read it again! Imagery of green garnish and time selling apples were well done. Congratulations on Top Story!
Wooohooooo congratulations on your Leaderboard placement! 🎉💖🎊🎉💖🎊
I liked the the juxtaposition of the apples and her dangling on the Tree of Life - clever and unique references… Congrats 🎉🎉
congrats on placing on the leaderboard!
Reflections on our children's future and our hopes and dreams for them only grows with time.
Somethings we are better off not knowing, and allowing the pieces to fall where they're meant to. Sometimes our answer is to not focus on the elephant, because the elephant will find its way. It's either the circus or the wild. :) Focus on you, and the rest will take care of itself.
“And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”” Genesis 2:9, 16-17 NKJV
As long as it's not the apple from the Tree of Knowledge, we're good 😬we all know how that ended lol I'd be happy to eat an apple from, and swing from the Tree of Life all day every day. 🍎🌸
It’s tender, a little confused, a little dreamy, and very you. “Green garnish shoved to the side” made me laugh way harder than it should’ve.
Miracle Question. Miracle Whip. Miracle Gro. Miracle on 34th Street. The Apple 🍎from the Tree of Life gives us knowledge of good and evil. So many places to explore with this poem. Thank you
