A small moment, forever etched in time

A memory so clear, it's like it's still mine

A moment that changed me, in ways big and small

A moment that taught me to rise after a fall

It was just a day, like any other day

I woke up early, ready to start and play

I went outside, and took a deep breath

And felt the warmth of the sun on my face, it was a perfect moment, I must confess

But then, in the blink of an eye

Everything changed, and I wondered why

A storm came through, strong and fierce

And knocked me down, it was like a curse

I lay there, in the mud and the rain

Feeling defeated, and full of pain

But then I heard a voice, soft and kind

Saying, "Get up, my child, don't you mind."

I looked up, and saw my mother's face

She extended her hand, and showed me grace

She said, "Life is like this storm, it comes and goes

But you have the strength to weather any blows."

And in that moment, I felt a shift

Something inside me, started to lift

I got up, with tears in my eyes

And knew that I could conquer any skies

That small moment, forever changed me

It taught me to be brave, and to see

That even in the midst of the storm

I have the power to transform

So now, whenever life gets tough

I remember that moment, and that is enough

To keep me going, to keep me strong

And to keep me moving, no matter how long.
