Pass It On

SMILE

By Ruth Elizabeth StiffPublished 4 months ago 1 min read
A smile is infectious

“Be the reason

someone smiles today.”

We know ourselves

how we feel

when someone smiles at us

and says a kind word.

We carry on with our day

knowing that

‘all is right with the world.’

Do we do the same

to the people we meet?

A simple smile.

A simple, kind word.

A simple act of kindness.

All of these

can encourage a person

to be happy in themselves

and

it can help his or her day

become a ‘better day.’

One small kind gesture

can ‘spark’ joy

into a person’s day.

“Be intentional about looking

for opportunities to uplift others;

your positivity

can become contagious.”

How ‘contagious’ a smile is.

Very often,

when we hear a kind word,

we pass it on,

because humans like to copy.

This also shows

a deep happiness within us.

LIVE AND LOVE LIFE!

    Great message.

My boyfriend has a great habit of complimenting people on their attire, hair, accessories, etc. I thought it was a bit weird at first but then I saw how people reacted to it and started doing it myself. Such simple kindnesses can make a big difference in someone's day.

A smile shared is a joy multiplied 1000 times. Your poem really conveyed that message. Beautifully done. Loved the smiley pic of their majesties too.
