Part 2 – Echoes of What I Couldn’t Say

A quiet storm of words never said, drifting between silence and sorrow.

By Emma Published 6 months ago 1 min read

Now the nights feel longer still,

As silence bends against my will

I speak in dreams where no one hears,

And wake up tasting quiet chill

The mirror shows a hollow smile,

A face that walked through every trial

But deep inside, a voice remains,

Still waiting to speak its truth with style

Each moment lost, a frozen page,

Unread letters aging in their cage

So many thoughts I tried to tame,

But silence stole them with its rage

Would it have mattered if I spoke?

Or would your love have still broke

Maybe the truth was never mine,

Just borrowed words I never woke

Now when I stand where shadows fall,

I think of you but not at all

For I have buried what I kept,

And now I rise… though once I crawled
