Parrot on Mango Tree

A haiku

By Seema PatelPublished 8 months ago 1 min read
@Seema

"It was summer—humid and hot.

On the dense mango canopy,

I spotted a camouflaged parrot."

Note:

On that sultry summer noon, was looking at the mango-laden mango tree, and suddenly, my gaze fell on a wild parrot. It was eating the ripe, delicious fruit.

It was so rewarding to see a free, safe, and blissful creature enjoying something delightful. It was serendipity, the blessing of mindfulness.

    That's a great description. Reminds me of a time I saw a bird in a tree, enjoying the fruits. Felt like a lucky moment.

  • What a wonderful sight! Thank you for sharing that with us. Also, I hope you don't mind me saying this, but that is not the format for Haiku. It does consist of 3 lines like you've done here. But the 1st line should have 5 syllables. 2nd one, 7 syllables. 3rd one, 5 syllables again
