He met her and she met him.
His name was Dave and hers, Kim.
They fell in love under the Paris Lights.
Amidst the Language of Love and Endless MidSummer Nights.
They Made it to America
They made it to Freedom.
They made it in life,
Til one day...
It all fell apart!
She Lived, He Loved, They Lied
The day she left, inside her heart, she Died,
Too much of her Life was now gone to the winds of Time.
She smelled the roses and the spicy scents of Thyme,
The aroma of which smelled sweet to the bitter path
That now laid before her.
She missed the Paris Lights,
She missed the Promenades.
Those walks 'long the water's edge
As the summer heat hit the lovers, streamed along in those little boats.
But when she finally returned home,
There was nothing left of the past,
But a giant Moat.
Where the Beauty of Paris once stood.
I've been gone far too long... She sadly whispers to the wind.
Eventually becoming a ghost,
One that wandered the Promenade,
Searching for all of time,
Her lost past of Love and Summer Lemonade.
