Pardon the Mess: emotions under construction
"Free Yourself"

Sledgehammer pounds the foundation
Relationship shatters into pieces
Screwdriver through the heart
Plaster and paint couldn't stop the bleeding
Memories cling like hammer to nails
Reflections of infidelity pierce the brain
Feelings of security and confidence grow extinct
Circular saw cut with precision to the very inch
Walls start to go up like sheetrock
Plaster and tape the edges to keep out the pain
Zinc roofing to amplify the sound of rain
Oak wood door for the main entrance
Lock the heart for an undetermined sentence
Double pane windows will not allow feelings to leak
Wooden floors with a dark finish gives the look of antique
Stainless steel appliances in the kitchen
Brushed nickel handles on the doors
Remnants of arguments on the staircase
Doesnt begin to settle the score
Time for some curb appeal to sure up the look
Left the house for the first time today
Can't imagine how much energy that took
Look up at the sky its no longer gray
