Heart, we need to talk this out...

You need to stop this feeling shit.

We don't really know him at all,

Yet you've fallen right off the fucking cliff.

/

He's a fantasy, not a destiny...

There's no reciprocal imagining...

He's a parasocial paradigm...

A lie to tell your lonely mind.

Now take a strong dose of reality,

And get on with your life.

/

Heart, why do you always do this?

Why do you crave the unobtainable?

Such a weakness for a handsome face...

Why are you so incorrigible?

/

He's a fantasy, not a destiny...

There's no reciprocal imagining...

He's a parasocial paradigm...

A lie to tell your lonely mind.

Now take a strong dose of reality,

And get on with your life.

/

This isn't even a crush,

It's a one-sided, baseless lust...

How long will I fall

When I'm left alone in the dust?

/

He's a fantasy, not a destiny...

There's no reciprocal imagining...

He's a parasocial paradigm...

A lie to tell your lonely mind.

Now take a strong dose of reality,

And get on with your life.
