A blanket of shadows obscures
Distorts my vision
But a wind from the East disperses the clouds.
**********
The mist is banished
To the far corners of the earth
Replaced with a luster dancing upon my skin.
**********
He breaks through the cover
The gauzy veil pierced through
A glittering halo greets my visage.
**********
A glow grows upon the face of the waters
Wild and waste illuminated
The Artist wipes his brow.
**********
The void takes form
As the luminescence
Enlightens the beauty therein.
**********
He uncovers his masterwork
Repairing the cracks with jewels
As the haze is cast away
**********
The gems of the eyes reflect
The darkness must be dispelled
To reveal the treasure within.

LJ Pollard
As long as I can remember, I've been writing and sharing stories. Writing and storytelling, whether it be a humorous poem composed in five minutes, or an epic fantasy told over several novels, brings meaning and joy to life.
