Paradise

Frosted Verse

There’s a chill in the air

Sinking into my bones

Nothing else quite compares

Quiet, soft and slow

Crystallized specks of rain

Tapping like revelry

Bringing seasonal change

Clinging to branches and trees

Falling from the sky

Not quite rain not yet snow

Escaping into the night,

To the earth down below

From somewhere in a dream

Paradise perfectly planned

A fabulous flaky scene

A soft place to land

Tender moments of peace

Drifting through the air

Setting spirits free

Washing away every care

Fragile icy film

Numbing my fingertips

Stirring a grin

As it glides over my lips

A sweet childhood sight

Resurrected each year

Filling hearts with delight

And the world with cheer

Nothing like snow. We don't see a lot of it here is Australia. :)
