Paperwork & Heartstrings

A Love Letter from My Overworked Soul

By Tale WeaverPublished 10 months ago 1 min read

Oh darling, my sweet corporate muse,

How do you expect me to focus or choose?

Between emails, reports, and meetings so drab,

When you waltz in, my heart skips like mad!

_ _ _

The sight of you makes my to-do list blur,

Deadlines? Forgotten—my mind’s all a whirr!

You're the typo in my perfectly planned day,

The coffee spill that sweeps me away.

_ _ _

Your laughter’s a ringtone I wish I could set,

A melody sweeter than Outlook presets.

Each glance you steal is a calendar glitch,

A love-struck bug in my data-rich niche.

_ _ _

Oh, my favorite workplace distraction divine,

I’d rather get lost in your eyes than my design.

So if HR comes asking why work’s a delay,

I’ll say, “Love’s the reason my tasks go astray!”
