I climb into my paper rocket, revving up the margins.
A crinkle here, a crooked fold, no worries… we’re together.
A clip of wind catches your flap, pushing us to the right.
I adjust my weight, to help you out, and together we take flight.
To the stars my little friend, the cluster on your left.
We hover a bit, quiet and calm, soaking in the starry sight.
A speeding comet zips on by, let’s go and join the race.
Off we go, in one quick move, we’re in second place.
We come across some shooting stars, impossible to catch.
Back and forth, up and down, my tummy bounces all around.
Now, homeward bound my paper dream.
I trust you know the way.
For time has come, for me to wake, and start another day.
