Paper Planes to the Moon

Some dreams are folded in silence but soar loudly in stars.

I wrote my hopes on paper wings,

Folded them fast with secret things.

And launched them toward the silver night,

Where maybe stars would read and write.

They spun like spells in midnight air,

And vanished with a wish and prayer.

Not all return, but some still do,

With traces of the dream — and you.
