Paper Crane
A Poem on Peace and Hope
This is for Poppy's prompt, origami, and Kenny Penn's Haikuplet challenge. There's still a little time to join in the fun!
Origami. The word brings to mind a bird often crafted using this Japanese paper craft - the crane.
The crane, often seen foraging in the waters of lakes, is a captivating bird that represents peace and hope. And we need lots of it as the world becomes increasingly turbulent.
Maintaining a sense of hope is not an easy task these days, but we can keep that sense of positivity going with support and faith in Providence.
May cranes land in our waters. Please enjoy this Haikuplet.
Thousand flying cranes
Wings move when faithful winds lift
Light, buoyant feathers
Feathered flying cranes
Graceful flocks scale calm waters
Sanguine birds nesting.

This is beautiful and incredible-from a poetry standpoint and from, and for, a birdwatcher!! Well done, Michelle! Totally shows us the scene. ❤️
