I feel like a chameleon color changing with my mood
A shape shifter that hides in a bright and vacant room
In a certain light you were so sure of what you saw
When dimly lit my colors they are not what you recall
I hide my true self from those who do not understand
Because I fear the hatred that afflicts my fellow man
I have survived this way for many years so far
Yet if I die in hiding no one would remember me at all.
