The madman in the mirror
Of a sudden, a freedom-fighter,
standing at the wall
against a ferocious despot
for all lovers of liberty,
is painted as a villain,
labelled a "dictator" by
a vice-ridden degenerate,
who, late into his seventies,
never had to grow up,
an arrested juvenile delinquent.
•
A man never discloses
his character more clearly
than when he paints a portrait
of another's character.
