Paint me as you will,
But please use all the colors
Shades of White
Baby's breath innocence
Snow covered virginity
Fresh cotton breeze
Purity's tabula rasa
Waiting to be written
Beginning of Everything and Nothing
Visible light's omni-color radiance
Shades of Black
Gloomy and morose, light choked
Eyes bleed ink
I can see, but it's dim
Forgot to remember
The pain goes away
If I let it all go and
Surrender
Shades of Red
Anger, Intensity, Passion and Blood
In the trenches, a fighter
The cause, one of Love
Healed up old wounds
Washed off the mud
Benched the players
Embraced the Dove
Shades of Orange
Appetite, colors of harvest
Driving insatiable need
For Knowledge, Happiness, Fulfilment
Hungry fire
Stealing breath, consuming flesh
Now filling the hole
With sunsets and marigolds
Shades of Yellow
Sunshine smiles, daffodil grins
Dance hypnotic
Of candle flame's lick
Solar light from core radiation
Power and joy
In the warmth
Of Creation
Shades of Green
Grounded, raw
Rooted in stability
Connected to Earth
Drawing Life
From the Source
Abundance, growth and
Fresh buds of Spring
Shades of Blue
Sad but Peaceful
Pensive depths of oceanic reach
Thoughts trickle like a stream
And then rage like a river
Then quietly come to rest
Is it a placid lake
Or a pond of sorrow
Shades of Pink
Delicate rosebud
Blush of cherub cheeks
Sunrise and Romance
Flush of lips
Sweet kiss of summer
Strawberry ice cream melts on tongues
Love in bloom's tender caress
Shades of Purple
Balanced passion in
Crowning emotions
Lilac wafting breeze
Sugar-plum dreams of ultra-violet beams
Visions of unity, actualized divinity
Grape nourished body in
Truth's richest wine
I am the subject, but you are the artist
Brush stroked filters of perception
Position, lighting, and perspective,
a vision your own.
Whether beautiful or monstrous
Is beyond my influence
But kindly include the hues of my moods and shades of my experience
See me in the rainbows that dance
upon the wall
Light broken in multi-faceted prism's refraction,
revealing identity's spectrum
Paint me as you see
but please use all the colors
For I AM all the colors
And all the colors are ME
