Pain gives you a clear eyes’ view;

pain draws out the best and worst in people;

pain is when you wish you never knew—

pain is when you wish you never knew when their last days were.

Pain hurts us the long way;

when the days begin to speed up because the clock won’t slow down,

the nights get a little more quiet,

every room gets tighter,

and everything has a louder sound.

pain is facing the day they are laying in your arms,

deteriorating slowly back to their creator,

fighting those last words unlike the millions they used prior to the departure.
