Pain I Cry

Poetry

By Stranna PearsaPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

Shelter me from this world

Put your wings around me

Do not leave them furled

Love me like you did

Before the world shattered

And I was forbid

Take away this pain

Dry my tears

For I’ve nothing to gain

Without you to still my fears

Rid me of this sorrow

Tuck me into you tight

For tomorrow

I will be on my own to fight

Where are the wings

And the blanket of love

Where is the mother I dream of?

The silence is suffocating

Where did you go?

I’m still here waiting

I guess now

I’m on my own

heartbreak

About the Creator

Stranna Pearsa

A long time ago I discovered the beauty and magic of the written word. The escape it provided when I was trapped was invaluable to me. It is my goal to provide that gift as it had been bestowed upon me so many times by so many others.
