your eyes pulsate with the beat of your heart
your heart burns in the heat of your anger
your anger drowns in the sorrow of your soul
your soul trapped by the chains of your thoughts
your thoughts cemented in the fears of your father
your father innocent of your believes
but round an’ round
the pain you go.
story retold, meaning forgotten
the wave once formed won’t be broken ’til land
and the fire once lit won’t die out until dawn
and the walls of your heart will grow taller at night
let it wash over you.
welcome its piercing embrace
cherish its bitter medicine
rejoice in the iced water
with your missing limbs
swim through the swamp of the
misundertood
washup on the shore
of innocence
and when the sun will dry out the dirt in your hair
and the salt on your skin
you will open your mouth
and drink
the water
of life.
