Overweight Wife
Human psyche thinks relations are business deals
The wife is overweight,
nothing wrong with that,
love is important,
loyalty too.
But we all know,
which way the world leans.
The man would have hurt,
or discarded her,
pursued affairs,
if not for the gains.
People want a good deal
from relationships,
as if they are businesses.
But he calls her “baby.”
You know the reason?
She’s the only daughter,
of wealthy parents,
with a big inheritance.
She has a job,
and earns decent.
So, he calls her “baby,”
though she is overweight.
So if you want,
to be treated right,
either be born,
to rich parents,
or, if not,
develop skills
to ensure self-respect.
otherwise,
if you’re overweight,
you may be treated,
like a doormats,
you have to face brickbats.

Oh my. This poem is nothing but the truth. It’s so sad that this is how people treat relationships, like a businesses. It’s depressing that we have to be born to rich parents, and rely on making something of ourselves by way of gaining skills in order to have a fighting chance. It’s always a great thing to write about this truth in our society, so for that, this was an outstanding piece. ‘you may be treated, like a doormats, you have to face brickbats.’ These three lines were my favourite 👌🏽♥️
So true. I read somewhere a few days ago that showed the statistics to a study that said that fat people are not treated as nicely as thin people
