Over the Rainbow

Living my true colors

By Lori SantanaPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Over the Rainbow

It has all been about Butterflies, Ladybugs, and Rainbows

My eyes were just blinded

While I was standing in the rain

Now that the clouds have parted

I am thankful for my transformation

through the pain

Without the lessons

I would have continued to live a lie

I learned to embrace my truth

Beyond those dark skies

I learned to be still

So, ladybugs could make lite

Look to the Horizon

All those beautiful colors that you see

That is your future

Whether it is coming out

Or breaking free

From a life where you are not meant to be

You were not meant to die in that cocoon

It may not be today, or tomorrow

But Soon

You can cross that rainbow too

You have just got to try

There is a Butterfly inside you

You

Were

Meant

To

Fly

About the Creator

Lori Santana

I spent the first 20 years of my life dreaming of who I would become

the next 20 years discovering who I was not

I will spend the next chapter of my life being exactly who I was all along

I released the pain of my past to live my true colors
