magenta, chartreuse, indigo, coal
my colors change like the wind.
whipping, whirring, winding so
whether bright or muted
ever they glow
dancing with the sun
or cradled in sleep
stowaway passengers
hidden in dreams
light of my soul
in prism-form flesh
press
undressed
here at the hole
of my wild heart,
beating and bleeding
pounding, repeating
these precious words I hold
like a sacrament:
no matter the mood
that alters the hue
or the dark, black valleys
obstructing the view
you, YOU!
only one and undefined
can bravely color
outside the lines
