Out of Pain and Insecurity

A Poem

By D351Published 2 years ago 1 min read

My desires are an endless ocean

Storms churn through depths

Even I don't know

A caregiver, a goddess, a little desert

To be owned and loved

To be free and wild

To lithely bounce from violent love

To gentle lust

And collapse into eachother's arms

Exhausted

But I know my desire to fly

On wings I was not given

And that to thirst brings no water

Let alone wine

So I build my own wings

While knowing better

Than to trust my own hands

For an approximation of those desires

Is more than one can hope for

Let alone depend on
