Alas, quick tongue,

Bite thy words, and

counteth to ten!

Deaden thy spirit

e’en in the

face of fiery

gall. Wretched

hussy!

Insufferable,

jealous,

killjoy!

Ladies

make

no

offensive remarks. Thou,

pathetic, paltry, pigheaded, pariah…

quick-tempered, and

rude…

Stick

thine tongue

under yon

vulture’s talon

whereon thou, O

xylocarp,

ye

zip it shut!

Do forgive me: a clever, abecedarian tribute to The Scottish Play and the Bard who sang it!
