Remains of the tsunami that poured all those years before

Crystal ice snow seeping through the mountains, water gushing through the valleys

Stars shouting across the earth

The moon laughs at our fate

It’s crescent illuminating our hollow hearts in the night

Flowers cry, their colors failing

Sinister souls dance among the angels

Butterfly’s fall to their death

Leaves betray each other, each one falling further from the next

Suddenly thorns are sharper then glass

The breeze is colder than snow

Hills are higher than mountains

Cats stronger than wolves

Trees scatter along the earth like marbles

Faces paint masks like chameleons

Wings tear and leave feathers stray

Eyes burn tomorrow away

This is the world.

Our world that is today.
