Our True Self

Colorless Existence of Love

By Laleeta TongoPublished 5 years ago 1 min read
Our True Self

Let’s go beyond the pink love

And by mere looks, touch each other’s ivory souls, let’s endeavor -

I’ll meet you in my rarest green imaginations

And entangle my brown roots into yours forever

Let’s go beyond the red pleasures

And renounce the wealth and black jewels, pray we discover wisdom -

Whenever you want to gift me

Please bring beautiful golden words, intense and private to ornament our godly vision

Bring rhyme, use rhythm, and add some shades of blue -

Let’s walk Byron’s pilgrimage, learn Chaucer’s tales, and watch how caged birds sing with Angelou

Let’s discover new meter, vivid imagery, precious than a white diamond ring -

Why not us witness Plath’s parallaxes, with Dickinson’s teachings until we’re lost in ivory and blessed by everything
