Our Story

How did we get here?

Our Story

A big noise made us,

and water and DNA

to let the dinosaurs

out-mammal us out of

Bronze, Iron, Religion ages;

taking over, learning, discovering

through disease, war, travel,

to today:

the distance of screens;

our privilege

as we read

that story.

  • Y'know, when you put it as big noise instead of big bang, it just seems so funnyyyyyy hahahahahhahahaha

    This is a wonderful poem - so raw in its premise.
