Our Story

Our Story

Our hearts beat as one as we glide across the floor

Holding tight, never wanting to let go, of this feeling

We waited so long for it and just like that it all could be gone

Rumors fly trying to tear us apart, but how would they know

How could they see, all we are and could be, if we just hold tight

I must admit, I worry so, that you’ll return to her and I’ll be left alone

There, to cry and cry till no more tears can come

And making me want to escape the place I have always called home

I worry that you’ll defy your heart and leave again without a clue

Oh, Love can be so sweet, so safe, so dangerous and disastrous to all in its path

You tell me how, without me, you can’t think a single happy thought

And promise me all I want you will make true

But how can you promise that things won’t change

Such is life, I fear

Though… I guess for now I’ll give this no thought

And stay in your arms, tight in your grasp

Happy as I have ever been

Till the day I expire
