Is Still Loud

This silence is not in solidarity with wrong

This silence is not because we can’t choose sizes

This silence is not because we are angry

This silence is not because we lack remorse

This silence is not teach others a lesson

This silence is because we are tired

This silence is not us giving up

This silence is not us saying this is not our fight

This silence is us fighting for years straight

This silence is because things got worse in the midst of us fighting and educating

This silence is not for the government, but for the people who voted to be governed by them

This silence because we realize our voices don’t make as big of a change as our votes do

This silence is not because me are scared

This silence is because we are praying

This silence comes from Love not hate

This silence comes from being disappointed

This silence comes from being let down

Because what's the point for fighting for peace if people are going to vote for chaos?

This silence is still loud

This silence can be seen

This silence can be felt

Yet we are still fighting and yelling

This silence is to hear others voices

You are right, Emily. The silent majority will rise and hopefully right the things. Oh, in the title of your great poem Silence is misspelled.
