It looms above us rotten now
Browned, maroon and beige, and sunk
Gnarled weeds chewing panels
A flexing frame, a sagging roof
Auburn vespers coil high
Knitting, purling, melting dusk
Wispy reeds rustle, sough
Agrestic gusts waft and blow
Detritus, straw, a shovel and spade
Lay beneath two fallen beams
Cypress shards and rusted wheels
Roll ensouled above the loam
It groans a low and somber moan
Even from a harmless zephyr
Let it sink and let it rest
Let it crumble in torpid slumber
