What do you see
What do you believe
Rituals customs traditions
Have an effect on the living
In the midst some may be lies
Some may come to ring true
Optics may affect what you do
Many are looking to lay the blame
For the state of our world clearly in pain
Far more than a group or a campaign
Truth lies within the atrocity and shame
We the collective play like life is a game
Justice is not blind the scales are tipped
Right and wrong a fabric that’s been ripped
Time rages and faith has been shaken
Riches are scattered there for the taking
Generations are lost wondering without aim
The depth of darkness rises again and again
We battle with all our might
Get down in the mud but we wrestle not only against flesh and blood
Optics at times hamper the truth
Generation to generations we have seen the proof
Cast not your seed to the wind no soil or root for growth to begin
So many who rail against the basics of humanity
Faith is the thread stronger than all the powers that be
Optics are but a cautionary tale of those who can’t see
For in this world of strength and might
To the giants before us we walk by faith and not by sight
